PROGRAMME DETAILS OF PMKSY
The Department of Land Resource, Ministry of Rural Development has been implementing an Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana which is a Watershed component of Integrated Watershed Management Programme IWMP (WDC-PMKSY) w.e.f 20/02/2009 principally for development of culturable wastelands.
ACTIVITIES OF WDC-PMKSY(IWMP)
The activities include,ridge area treatment, drainage line treatment, soil and moisture conservation, rain water harvesting, nursery raising, afforestation, horticulture, pasture development, livelihoods,etc.
MAIN FEATURES OF WDC-PMKSY
- The period of completing PMKSY is 4- 7 years
- The cost of norms for IWMP is Rs15,000 /per Ha.
