DPDB Zunheboto meeting held on 8th May 2018

The Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board, held its meeting on May 8. Khehovi, Chairman DPDB & Advisor Tourism, Art & Culture presided over the meeting.

During the meeting he highlighted the vision of the PDA government, stating that to bring new changes in the state for development and good governance, ‘No work, No Pay Policy’ was implemented and surprise checking on attendance will be exercised. He further directed that the next DPDB will be attended only by HoDs.

A press statement from the PRO, Kiviho K. Achumi stated that a review on the minutes of the last meeting requested the Social Welfare Department and Education Department to submit reports on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme in the next meeting.

Other minutes of the meeting included discussion on the upgradation of Government high school at Suruhuto and Akuluto, proposal for renovation of toilets and construction of retaining wall at the Badminton Stadium and AOC junction via NST road, proposal for financial assistance for construction of ZSTH meeting hall at D.C hill (w), Zunheboto and construction of drainage at South Point east was also decided to be forwarded to the DPDB chairman for further approval. The proposal for registration of ‘Aina Vision Society’ was also approved to be forwarded to higher authority, the statement added.

The proposal for creation of SDO Soil Office under Atoizu ADC HQ., DSCO Zunheboto was further requested to furnish reports. Further, all developmental departments under Zunheboto district was also directed to submit their respective vision, while, The Agri and Allied department was also directed to constitute a committee for ‘Vision 2025’ by July last.

The meeting was also attended by Kazheto Kinimi, MLA & Advisor, Skill Development, Labour, Employment and CAWD, Nagaland.
